Alberta Livestock Genome Program–ALGP2

The ALGP2 Project aims to develop genomic tools for genetic improvement of disease resilience in the Canadian Pig Industry.

This large 2 year project started on 12 November 2015 at the Deschambault Research Station in Quebec.
Pigs will be received from all of our members throughout the project and we will bring updates as we have them to hand.

Here are some pictures of the first group in from Olymel.
